Anxiety group for girls Round 2

Summit is proud to introduce Kristianne Goff, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, who will be providing a therapy group to support girls who struggle with feelings of anxiety. This group has been very well received and we have had a lot of interest. Therefore, Summit will be presenting the group again. This session will begin April 1, 2020. Please contact us if you are interested and would like to reserve a spot.

This highly interactive eight-week group is ideal for middle school females who struggle with anxiety.  Using a brain-based approach, the curriculum melds elements of Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy with mindfulness techniques.  They will learn to recognize their thinking errors, how feelings follow thoughts, how emotions shape behavior and learning, stress hormones, emotional balance, perspective taking, optimism, gratitude and mirror neurons. Clients will leave feeling empowered, understanding their own brains, and creating healthy coping habits necessary for social/emotional success.

Please contact Dr. Toplis or Dr. Makofske to sign up for this highly effective group.
