We’re proud to have Lupita Medina as an essential part of our team. As our Executive Assistant, she keeps everything running smoothly behind the scenes, coordinating schedules, supporting our staff, and ensuring that our partners experience seamless communication with us. With her organization, warmth, and dedication, Lupita helps us deliver the high level of service and care our partners deserve.
Summit was founded by Dr. Bri Makofske and Dr. Rachel Toplis with a shared commitment to build a practice that can be a trusted resource for our community.
Our initial goal was to provide high quality, meaningful diagnostic evaluations to support children in community and educational settings. Our backgrounds as licensed clinical and school psychologists give us a dual lens: we understand both the needs of school teams, families and students and the practical realities of the school setting.
After years of working in both public education systems and clinical settings, we saw firsthand how overburdened teams and rigid systems can impact the support students receive—and in turn, how deeply that impacts families and educators alike. Our experience highlighted a much broader need, and our mission has since evolved.
We now support school administrators who need reliable, experienced professionals to support special education, and for independent contractors who want flexible, meaningful work that allows them to practice at the top of their license. Realizing our roots as educators, we are motivated to be part of a solution for students, their families, schools, and the professionals who serve them.
